Hit Productions is pleased to announce that it will soon be opening its new mix room for cinema and long form material! The acoustics are designed by American acoustician Rod Gervais, whom we also partnered with in constructing our band recording room called Studio H.

The Hit Cinema is built for 7.1 DCP as well as for 5.1 DVD and TV work. It accommodates ten to twelve people on its sprawling leather couch and comfy theater seats, which are built by the same company that supplies the chairs for the Power Plant cinema.

Adjacent to the mix room is a large Foley room fully equipped with various floor surfaces, props, shoes, and even a bathtub for water and splash sound effects.

According to Hit technical director Dennis Cham, the theater is scheduled to undergo Dolby certification early next year. In the meantime, both Hit clients and employees alike are enjoying a “soft opening” with daily showings of their favorite high definition Blu Ray material, in awesome surround sound.
