Haiyan / Yolanda Relief Update

“Three months after Typhoon Haiyan, a whole nation wants to show its gratitude to the whole world. This is the Philippines. And this is our way of saying thank you to every one who is helping us rebuild after the storm. #PHthankyou”

Hit is proud to have contributed to this Department of Tourism commercial created by BBDO/Guerrero, in appreciation of the global outpouring of support that was extended to the Philippines in its time of need.

As a company, Hit Productions is also continuing to extend help towards those affected by Typhoon Haiyan / Yolanda.

On November 15th, barely one week after the storm, Hit (in cooperation with concert promoters Strike Back Attack!) staged a benefit concert for the Philippine Red Cross at the Hit Events Hall, entitled “Hit Strikes Back at Yolanda”. The gig featured performances by Voices of Five, Ebe Dancel, Bayang Barrios, Cooky Chua, Razorback, Itchyworms, True Faith, and Rizal Underground.

Total donations at the gate amounted to P135,000, which Hit Productions then matched, bringing the total contribution to the Philippine Red Cross to P270,000.

Hit Productions has also sponsored the construction of two fishing boats to help Tacloban fishermen reestablish their livelihood.

And as part of a program called Tulong Gulong, via the efforts of industry icon Susan Dimacali of DimSu Consulting, Hit Productions has also donated sixty two bicycles for the use of on-ground volunteers and local residents that need access to basic transportation.

We at Hit want to continue to support relief programs and the ongoing rebuilding process. If you are aware of a worthy and deserving effort for typhoon relief that you think deserves additional support, please email info@hitproductions.net to bring it to our attention.

Thank you!
